Trains carry us in and out of our shared life.

Steel wheels on steel track transfer motion into screaming-

under our roof.

Co-Isolation though the world’s blood boiling-

left festering scars in Chrysalises-

emerging without longing between persons newly formed.

We sat so still for so long.

Boxing up movement into pretty bows.

Even canine companion held down until taught to be still.

On mothers visit, you both grew angry

Over want to explore,

pot-marked city bazaar.

I dance in the grocery store

and you call me a child.

I never got to dance in the grocery store as a child.

I remember dancing in front of you, only garment over my flesh is bulging-..

lip syncing saccharine for applauds and joy.

Grief spires poke out from your heart to deflate

what we once caught between us.

You ask me to leave. And I do.
